Both Becki and Joyce are certified Reiki Masters and Practitioners, and their work is certified by the American Holistic Medical Association. Reiki Sessions

We provide individual Reiki Sessions by appointment at:

These sessions are provided by appointment during the shop's normal business hours. The cost of an individual Reiki Session is $65 per hour.

Animal Reiki Sessions

We provide individual Animal Reiki Sessions and/or Individual Animal Reiki Training for Pet Owners at:

These sessions are provided by appointment only after 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, and on weekends. The cost of  an individual Animal Reiki Session and/or  Individual Animal Reiki Training for Pet Owners is $65 per hour.

Mobile Reiki Healing Sessions

We  can also provide individual and group healing sessions that may be scheduled at a time and place that is more convenient to our clients. We can provide classes at your home or office or another chosen location.  These private classes may be for one person, a couple or a group.

Mobile Reiki Healing Sessions are also an option for Animal Reiki Sessions and/or Individual Animal Reiki Training for Pet Owners.

The cost of a Mobile Reiki Healing Session is $8o.00 per hour.

Reiki Training and Reiki Certification Classes

There are three traditional levels of Reiki Certification Training. We provide these classes on an ongoing basis at Center of Symmetry and Cosmic Connections in Nashville, TN.

• Reiki 1 Certificaton Class: This certification class teaches the student the basics of energy healing for self and others. Despite all that is accomplished with Reiki, it is a natural process, therefore easy to learn. No prior experience in health care or natural healing is required. This class includes handout, training, attunement, and certification. Cost: $75.00.
• Reiki 2 Certification Class: This certification class teaches the student techniques of distance healing. Also at this level the student is taught the Reiki symbols. This class includes handout, training, attunement, and certification. $85.00.
• Reiki 3 Certification Class: This certification class is the Master/teacher level. At this level the student is taught the attunement process and the basics for teaching Reiki to others. This class includes handout, training, attunement, and certification. $175.00.

Private Classes

We  also provide private instruction that may be scheduled at a time and place that is more convenient to a prospective student. We can provide classes at your home or office or an other chosen location.  These private classes may be for one person, a couple or a group.

Fees for Private Classes:

• Reiki 1 Certification Class: 1 person $175, each additional person $75 each
• Reiki 2 Certification Class:  1 person $175, each additional person $85 each.
• Reiki 3 Certification Class: $175 per person

The private classes are usually scheduled in Nashville and surrounding areas.

This chakra clearing method utilizes a pendulum to analyze the status of the chakras, then use of a crystal to clear the chakras. This method of Chakra Clearing was created by Dan Craft, a Reiki Practitioner and Energy Healer in Nashville, TN.

We like to use this method of chakra clearing prior to Reiki sessions and shares and sessions because having the chakras opened and balanced makes the client able to more efficiently utilize the Reiki energy. Scientific Proof that Reiki Heals

Scientific proof that Reiki heals was clearly shown in a double-blind, fully objective scientific study done by Dr. Daniel P. Wirth M.S., J.D. in the late 1980's. This study proves that the "healer effect" cannot be simply dismissed as being due to a placebo effect, hypnosis, or  any other "power of suggestion from the healer upon the healee.

The title of this study is "The Effect of Non-Contact Therapeutic Touch on the Healing Rate of Full Thickness Dermal Wounds".

The goal of this study was to test the hypotheses that subjects who were treated by a Therapeutic Touch (TT) practitioner utilizing Non-Contact Therapeutic Touch (NCTT) would have faster rate of wound healing than the subjects that were not treated.

Wirth wanted to find out if there would be a healer effect if the people to be healed were kept completely unaware of the healer's presence and also totally unaware that any healing was even intended or taking place.

The subjects chosen were 44 male student volunteers with an average of 26 years old. They were told that they would be a part of an experiment involving a new, highly sensitive camera that could photograph the energy flowing around the human body. The controls for this experiment were very tight. Not even the project  manager or the doctor involved knew what was really being tested. A house off campus was rented for the experiment and all of the details were kept a secret.

The students were split into two groups. Half of the group came to the rented house in the morning and the other half in the afternoon. All students were given the same information and treated in exactly the same manner. Each volunteer had an 8mm wide skin-deep wound cut into his arm on the first day. This wound was dressed with gas-permeable gauze. Every day when each student came to the rented house, he sat close to the wall of empty room and inserted his arm through a small hole with draped with a heavy curtain. Nothing was visible on either side. Each student sat there for 5 minutes. The students were all under the assumption that their wounds were being filmed by the special new camera.  The truth was, the morning group had nothing at all being done to their arms. The afternoon group, however, had a traditional-style energy healer present. This healer performed a non-touch healing session on the wound of each of the afternoon participants. Dr. Wirth and the healer, Laurie Eden, were the only people who knew what was actually going on.  This experiment lasted for 16 days.

At the end of the testing period, all of the volunteers were examined by medical experts totally unaware of the stipulations of the experiment. The results showed that the wounds 13 of the volunteers treated by the healer had healed entirely with each wound having closed over and a layer of new tissue sealing it. The rest of the afternoon group were reported to be "well on the way to healing."

The group that was not treated by the healer, however, had totally different results. Not a single member of the control group had experienced a complete closing of the wound or anything close to closing of the wound.

The results of this test proved that wounds that received Non-Contact Therapeutic Touch  had healed more quickly than the wounds that had not received the treatment, and that belief or suggestion played no part in the healings.

This Reiki 1 Certification Class  will teach you the background and fundamentals of Reiki, the basic hand positions, and the first three Reiki Symbols. You will receive an attunement and Reiki 1 Certifiation.

 Reiki is a healing modality that originated in Japan in the late 1800′s with Dr. Mikau Usui.  The word “Reiki” is of Japanese origin and refers to the Universal Life Force. The name originates from the Japanese concepts of REI (spirit) and KI (life force, energy). Reiki has also been described as the Japanese word for “universal energy” and within traditional Eastern healing focuses on the “KI” (also known as ”Qi”, “Chi”, or “Prana”) as a method of bringing the life force energy back into balance. Everyday stress, environmental toxins, addictions, etc. negatively impact the flow of the life force energy.

This method of  healing works to re-balance of the subtle energies, which in turn will increase feelings of well being, reduce stress,  and promotes good health. In essence, Reiki is a method of harnessing the Universal Life Force that exists in the world around us and all living creatures, and using this energy to heal ourselves and others.

This method of energy healing  restores harmony to negatively impacted areas of the body by flowing through these areas in the energy field and charging them with positive energy to restore harmony. We are all born with this natural ability to heal, and Reiki is a wonderful method of learning to utilize this natural ablity.

The method we teach is Usui Shiki Ryoho, which is translated as "Usui System of Natural Healing". During Reiki 1 the channel is opened so that you can begin healing yourself and others.

Home Remedies for Colds and Flu

Cold and cough season are well upon us! Here are some home remedies for colds and flu that will help you if you get caught by a nasty bug.
These home remedies have been extracted from the book Jude's Herbal Home Remedies. This is a wonderful book with a home remedy for just about everything.
I've compiled for you here the simplest recipes using ingredients found in almost everyone's pantry.

HOME REMEDIES FOR COLDS AND FLU

CINNAMON GINGER COLD TREATMENT

• 1 cup milk
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon ginger
• 1 tablespoon honey

Scald the milk. Add the cinnamon, ginger and honey. Drink while hot.This recipe is very soothing and great at the onset of a cold.

HOT LEMONADE COLD TREATMENT

• 1 glass of lemonade
• honey

Heat the lemonade and add honey to taste. This recipe is great for a cold with fever. It relaxes the body and eases discomfort.

RICE TEA FOR STOMACH UPSET, VOMITING AND DIARRHEA

• 1/2 cup rice
• 1 1/2 quarts water
• vanilla flavoring
• sugar

Simmer the rice in the water for 15 minutes. Strain. Add vanilla and sugar to taste. Drink warm. Rice tea is a quick intervention to settle an upset stomach and stop vomiting and/or diarrhea. The rice tea soothes the stomach and makes resting much easier.

LEMON ORANGE SAGE TEA FLU REMEDY

• 2 pints water
• 1 ounce dried sage
• 1 lemon (juiced)
• 1 orange (juiced)
• 1 oz honey

Boil water. Pour over dried sage and add lemon juice, orange juice and honey. Mix well. Steep for 1 hour covered. Strain and drink often. Good cold or hot. This tea will help relieve flu symptoms.

OLD INDIAN ONION TREATMENT FOR CHEST CONGESTION

• 1 med onion flannel cloth
• olive oil

Slice then lightly fry onion in olive oil and place in flannel cloth. Lightly grease chest with olive oil. Place the onion poultice on the chest area. Cover to keep warm.

CAYENNE CINNAMON GINGER POULTICE FOR CHEST CONGESTION

• 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper
• 4 tablespoons of powdered cinnamon
• 4 tablespoons of powdered ginger olive oil (or vegetable oil)
• flannel cloth

Mix cayenne, cinnamon and ginger with enough olive oil to make a paste. Apply this mixture to a flannel cloth. Lightly grease chest with olive oil. Apply poultice to chest. Cover to keep warm. Leave on overnight. All of the ingredients in this poultice are stimulants and will cause the patient to perspire.

THYME COUGH SYRUP

• 1 pint water
• 1 ounce dried thyme
• 1 cup honey

Boil water. Pour over thyme. Cool to room temperature. Strain. Add honey. Shake to mix well. Store in refrigerator. Take 1 tablespoon several times daily for coughing and sore throats.
